Oct. 29 - Final Tuesday for Toy Collection
During the month of October, our club will be collecting toy donations on behalf of Christmas Connection. Our board is excited to help support this community toy drive which will provide toys at no cost to 1,000 families this coming holiday season. While they gladly welcome any toy for children newborn up to 14, they are in most need of toys for 0-2 and 11-14. We’ll have a box available to receive those donations as you enter our meeting each week.

| November 5 Proposed Bylaws Revision VoteOn November 5 at our weekly lunch meeting, a proposed bylaws revision will be put forth to the club for a vote. In completing an annual review to ensure our practices and bylaws are current, a small change is proposed to our existing bylaws as it relates to our election timeline. With our transition to a secure, online voting portal, results for the election are now made available immediately following the close of voting and results can be announced at the first meeting in December, without need to delay and count paper ballots. With that, our board has recommended the update of the language from “On or before the date of the first Rotary Club meeting following December 4th” to “On or before the date of the first Rotary Club meeting in December.” This small change will allow our upcoming election results to be announced at our meeting on December 3rd without delay.

| Wings of Rotary - 2025 Deadline Dec. 1, 2024
Each summer, District 5750 sends a team of 10th to 12th graders to District 2520 located in the Miyagi and Iwate prefectures in Japan for approximately two weeks. 2025 Wings of Rotary Information
In taking part of WINGS of Rotary, students learn a new way of living, a great deal about themselves, and maybe even a new language. They will be ambassadors, teaching people they meet about their country, culture, and ideas. Help bring the world closer - and make some good friends in the process.
More than 8,000 young people each year have experiences like these through Rotary Youth Exchanges. It's the opportunity of a lifetime. Do you know any students who would be interested? Contact Keith Oehlert, District 5750 Wings Chair Application
