September 2023 Teacher of the Month
Judíth Verónica Huerta Morfín - English Language Learner and Bilingual Teacher at Taft Middle School

In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Okla. City recognizes an outstanding teacher in our community.

Judith recognizes that students' needs are not solely academic. She acknowledges their individual circumstances and supports them by meeting them where they are. Judith believes it is the purpose of educators to validate student experiences and engage them in teaching methods that involve play and allow for mistakes. She builds relationships with students and families by sharing her personal journey about coming to the United States, as well as the hardships and opportunities she has experienced.

Judith is a lifelong learner and strives to grow and improve her own skill sets as a teacher.

Judíth Verónica Huerta Morfín was presented with a certificate of recognition as well as a $500 gift from the Rotary Club 29 Foundation AND a $500 gift from the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation in partnership with the American Fidelity Foundation.

Advertising support makes it possible for Club 29 to publish news and information critical to our members, such as meeting notices, speaker schedules, and other crucial communications. Your message would be seen by our community's most prominent leaders and gain incredible exposure on the world wide web. The advertising revenue pays for the software we use to design and distribute the newsletters as well as Club 29's website hosting, so your support is important to all members.

There are a few ad spaces available, but filling them is very important for our club’s member communications. If you are interested, you may find more information here or contact the Rotary office.
