Weekly Happenings

The replacement of the storm drainage pipes on the West End side of the church grounds continues. The drainage pipes are obstructed and block stormwater flow when there is heavy rain, resulting in flooding of the church basement. A special machine is used to suck the mud and gravel from the area rather than using a backhoe to dig it out in an effort to not damage any tree roots. That gravel and dirt are then crushed and composted, and turned into topsoil, making the process eco-friendly.

The bricks in the sidewalk on the Mayfair side bubbled up as a result of the flooding. Each brick has been carefully removed and will be reused to create a flat, even sidewalk.

The next project starting soon will be the painting of the steeple. Stay tuned for details.
If you have any questions about the construction and upgrades happening on our campus this summer, please contact Greg Cornish, Chair, Property Committee.
