Meet Julian Charrière

Swiss-French Artist on display at the SFMOMA

Julian Charrière's speculative quest into the realms of science and cultural history capture the fraught relationship we have with place today. His exhibition Erraticwhich captures the ice landscapes from hostile polar regions across the Arctic and Antarctic, is currently on display on the 7th Floor of the SFMOMA, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Charrière's work combines artistic and scientific approaches to explore humankind's interconnection with these otherworldy environments and how they have come to represent the precariousness of our future.
In this event Charrière will be conversing with Jodi Roberts of the Art+Climate Action collective to discuss the cultural, environmental, and political aspects of his art.
