- A big well-deserved shout-out to Gabriel Hernandez, family liaison for Cardinal Elementary School and Broad Rock Elementary School! Mr. Hernandez puts his whole heart and an incredible amount of thought and consideration into his work with our families. Not only is he an amazing support to parents, he also brings a wealth of knowledge and care to our school teams. Thank you, Mr. Hernandez!
- I would like to shout-out Mrs. Ingrid Finney-Reynolds in the Transportation Department. She is always so kind and professional when I contact her and she responds back in a timely manner. I thought the event that was being planned for our students at Carver would have to be canceled, but Mrs. Finney-Reynolds made sure the event could still go on as scheduled. I really appreciate Mrs. Finney-Reynolds; she made this task easier for me. Thank you again, Mrs. Finney-Reynolds!
- The Amelia Street School family would like to recognize our Staff Member of the Month, Mr. Carl Craig, for being an empathetic, positive, and outstanding teacher to our scholars. We would also like to shout-out one of our behavior specialists, Ms. Melanie Brown, for being Amelia Street School's Support Staff of the Year. Ms. Brown exemplifies true love and support to our scholars/staff and is an excellent asset to our team. Thanks, Mr. Craig and Ms. Brown, for a job well done.
- Shout-out to D. Robinson from Facilities for always coming through! Great job.
- I would like to give a shout-out to two first-year teachers at Huguenot High School. Cuba Carden and Miranda Frescoln are providing a wonderful learning environment and challenging their students with engaging lessons. Both students and colleagues are fortunate to have these gifted, dynamic, and loving teachers in the Falcon Family.
- I'd like to shout-out Kailyn Hampton-Studivant at Armstrong High School. Kailyn is an amazing resource and very good at her job. As a social worker, she has gone above and beyond to assist all of her students, and is very active when it comes to helping with tricky enrollment scenarios. She has been particularly diligent when it comes to student and family follow up, was able to quickly coordinate a series of very important home visits, and continually communicated & followed up with RPS staff and the families involved. Thank you, Ms. Hampton-Studivant! Your incredible service to your families does not go unnoticed.
- I would like to send a shout-out to Mildred DeLoatch for all that she does behind the scenes along with her dedication to RPS! She's one of the many heroes that work for Richmond Public Schools!
- Thank you to the office associates, Ms. Hudson and Mr. Owens, at Overby Sheppard! When we needed information today, they stepped in and helped out PHSSA in a very wonderful way.
- Shout-out to the fantastic team at G.H. Reid. Mrs. Faison, Mrs. Davis, Ms. Henderson, Ms. Burgess, Ms. Leach, Ms. Marrow, Ms. Battle, and Ms. Winston, for all of your energy and support with the End of National Bullying Awareness Month Glow Party. You all are awesome!
- Shout-Out to Ms. Tiffany Garland at Huguenot High School for her amazing work as the announcer of the homecoming pageant as well as the vital work she does every day keeping our building running smoothly in support of our faculty, students, and community. She is a vital part of our Falcon Family.
- Shout-out to Thomas Jefferson Volleyball Team for winning their first game in the playoffs. I don’t know if this has ever been done at TJ. The Volleyball Team should be recognized for their hard work, dedication, and determination this season. Go, Vikings.
