Juniors, do YOU want to join student government? |
Hello Juniors!!
This is Shanti, your Student Government Vice President of Internal Affairs. I'm excited to announce that we have one position open to be a Junior Class Representative, and we would like to appoint you to that position!
|
How do appointments work?:
The appointment process operates very similarly to an election. You will fill out an election application (linked below) and send it to the CCSGA email. The Internal Affairs Committee will then review all applications and conduct an interview for each applicant. Finally, the council will choose two applicants who will join us for the rest of the academic year!
|
As an Junior Class Representative, you'll get to:
|
- Voice the opinion of your peers in campus-wide discussions
- Sit on the Civic Outreach or Student Life Committee
- Attend delicious and free blockly catered dinners
-
Get PAID for your work and time
|
To Note:
CCSGA meets weekly and it is expected that you attend the necessary meetings and engagements. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit some of your time to this position. Per week, you can expect to spend approx. 2.5-4 hours on CCSGA work, including Full Council and Committee meetings.
Full Council Meetings are Thursdays 5:00-6:30pm weeks 1-3 of every block.
Committee Meetings will be scheduled by your VP and can accommodate your schedule.
|
The application timeline will be as follows:
|
-
Wednesday, September 30th - Applications due by 11:59pm
- Thursday, October 1st - Applications approved and interviews begin
- Wednesday, October 7th - Interviews conclude & decision given to applicants
|
Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns!
