Call for Nominations: 2023 Teaching Scholar Awards. This award recognizes a full-time faculty member in the School of Medicine who has demonstrated a significant record of scholarship and exceptional teaching, along with an ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning at Tulane. Nominations must be submitted by Monday, January 30 at 5pm. See attached for more information and nomination form.

 

Call for Nominations: 2023 SOM Faculty Recognition Awards. These awards demonstrate the School’s sincere appreciation of the faculty and their contributions to advancing the school's mission. The awards and the recognition they bestow will serve to build a stronger academic environment, promote a positive culture within the School, and identify the behaviors and achievements we value as a community. The deadline to submit nominations is January 30, 2023. Please visit the Faculty Affairs website for a list of awards and the nomination form.

Chapter IV restaurant, led by a scion of one of New Orleans’ leading restaurant families, is open now in Tulane’s recently renovated and reimagined Thirteen15 building! Thirteen15’s restaurant is run by Chef Edgar “Dook” Chase, grandson of New Orleans’ Creole cuisine legend Leah Chase, and his wife, Gretchen. Chapter IV offers breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch. Keith Ferdinand, MD, honored with Living Legend Award

Southern University at New Orleans’ Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) in partnership with the Lyceum at SUNO honored Dr. Keith Ferdinand’s diligent work with its 2023 Living Legend Award. The award acknowledges the accomplishments of local African Americans who have impacted the city of New Orleans through their dedicated work.
