After a brief pause for construction, the Vignelli Center for Design Studies is excited to announce the return of its annual Summer Design Workshop in June 2026. This immersive, week-long program brings together designers from around the world for an intensive exploration of design thinking, material experimentation, and making—hosted in partnership with the Corning Museum of Glass.

Held across the Vignelli Center at RIT and the Corning Museum of Glass, participants engage with the Vignelli Archives, collaborate with master craft glass blowers, and develop an original project inspired by modernist principles, historical context, and contemporary practice. Each participant will leave with a 3D-printed prototype from the RIT Fab Lab and a final glass project fabricated at Corning, alongside a week of shared meals, studio dialogue, and experiences in New York’s Finger Lakes region.
