Dear Campus Community,

As mentioned at the Welcome Back Lunch on Aug. 20 and in prior communications, I am writing to share the final Institutional Review report.

The attached 201-page document includes detailed findings of Baker Tilly’s work in six key areas: Fiscal Health, Strategic Enrollment Management, Student Experience and Success, Academic Portfolio, Resource Optimization, and Organizational Effectiveness. You will notice that some content has been redacted to protect employee privacy and confidential information. The redactions are limited in scope and do not alter the report's overall findings, themes, recommendations, or conclusions. A summary of redactions and the rationales for redaction can be found here.

I want to emphasize that the report contains recommendations, not directives. As is true with all external reviews, we as a College will review the findings and determine if and how we implement recommendations.

I encourage you to spend time with the report, document your questions, and attend one of the two Work of the College Series sessions on Tuesday, Sept. 1 or Thursday, Sept. 3. Both events are from 3-4pm in Bemis Great Hall and will cover the same content.

I look forward to discussing the report findings and all that comes next. Shared governance means shared work, and this next chapter is ours to write together.

With gratitude,

Manya Whitaker

President
