Smart Cookies & Digital Cookie Volunteer Access |
Registration emails have been sent troops to set up your Smart Cookies access for the season. Each troop has two contacts added to the system, the Troop Leader and Troop Cookie Manager. To add more Smart Cookies users, contact us with your troop # and the name of the Volunteer. Once you log in, don’t forget to:
|
- Enter your Troop banking information
- Confirm your Girl Scouts’ information
- Enter the # of Girl Scouts selling
|
Find step by step instructions for completing these tasks in the Online Cookie Systems Guide on Cookie Central. All registered Girl Scouts have also been added to Smart Cookies. Review your troop roster by January 9 and report any errors to us. This will help us ensure your troop’s information is accurate before we transfer it to Digital Cookie. Volunteers will receive Digital Cookie access on January 24 and Girl Scouts will receive their access on February 1. River Valleys will continue to add Girl Scouts and volunteers each week.
|
Troop Cookie Training & Responsibility Forms |
Your Community Product Leader will connect with you on Cookie Program training options (and to pick up those highly anticipated cookie supplies too 😉). One option is to complete River Valleys 477 Troop Cookie Manager Training 2025 in gsLearn, with a series of five videos to review. Please use this updated link to view instructions on how to search for this training.
All Troop Cookie Managers must complete the online Troop Cookie Responsibility Form by February 1. Enter your Community Product Leader’s email address when prompted in the form. A copy of the completed form will be emailed to both you and the Community.
Families participating in the cookie program will need to complete the Family Cookie Responsibility form before they can be given any cookie inventory or allocated cookies in Smart Cookies. A great time to complete this task would be during your troop's Cookie Business Family meeting.
|
Troop Cookie Manager Guidebook |
The Troop Cookie Manager Guidebook is available online on Cookie Central, which includes an overview of your duties, tips on engaging Girl Scouts in sales, managing cookie inventory, cookie finances, and more important information that you will need throughout the program.
|
Virtual Meeting for New Troop Cookie Volunteers January 9 |
Join River Valleys staff on Thursday, January 9, from 6:30 – 8 PM for a special virtual meeting exclusively for new troop cookie volunteers. We’ll review the basics of the cookie sale, benefits of participation, cookie resources, sales options, and answer your questions too.
Review our Easy Baked Cookie Program resource, which is designed to help new leaders navigate the cookie season with a menu of participation options to select from, based on your comfort level and time available. Visit the Events page to register for this session.
|
Fall FUNDraiser Bonus Cookie Booth Lottery |
Troops that participated in the Fall FUNDraiser and sold $150.00 or more in fall items have been emailed the details on the bonus cookie booth lottery. These troops will be able to secure one booth timeslot in this lottery round. Unsure if your troop made the cut? Login to M2OS and view your total troop sales on the system dashboard. Didn’t receive the email? Connect with us no later than Thursday, January 2nd.
|
River Valleys Office Closure & Cookie Press Updates |
Girl Scouts River Valleys Offices will be closed for a winter break from December 23-January 1. We’ll be pausing Cookie Press e-newsletters for the rest of the month, with the next email Thursday, January 2. Review the past issues on Cookie Central. As always, we are here to support you and answer any questions you may have. On behalf of the entire Product Program Team, we wish you the best during the winter holiday season!
|
Our updated Troop Cookie Manager Training is now available on gsLearn. Community Product Leaders will be able to see which of their Troop Cookie Managers have completed this training in Looker. You can view and download these modules as editable PowerPoints located in the Troop Training Toolkit PDF. Find this linked on the Volunteer Roles and Resources page, in the Community Product Leader dropdown. If you were unable to attend one of our virtual cookie trainings earlier this month, the Community Product Leader training PowerPoint is updated and can be found within this Troop Training Toolkit as well.
|
Cookie Materials Ship the Week of December 30 |
The 2025 cookie materials will ship to Communities the week of December 30. If you need additional materials for any newly registered troops/Girl Scouts, complete the Cookie Materials Request Form.
|
Troop Cookie Manager Responsibility Form Live Link
|
Troop Cookie Managers have begun signing the Troop Cookie Manager Responsibility forms. Community Product Leaders should receive a confirmation email when a volunteer has completed the form. If you don't receive the confirmation email use this live report to view the first name and troop number of the individuals who have completed their form. All Troop Cookie Managers must sign the form by February 1.

Juliette Girl Scouts and Deposit Slips |
| |
Juliette Girl Scouts have been added to Smart Cookies. Juliettes have a six-digit troop number, which is based off their GSUSA ID number. You will be notified if any new Juliettes are added into the system during the season in your Community. Juliettes use specially encoded deposit slips to deposit Cookie money into the River Valleys Wells Fargo bank account. Deposit slips encoded with the Juliette number will be mailed to Juliette Mentors of participating Juliettes before Cookie Go Day.
