Announces Appointments of Karla Vazquez and
Eva Angelina Romero to Board President and Vice President


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 20, 2023) — The Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce (TLACC) announces the appointments of Karla Vazquez and Eva Angelina Romero as president and vice president, respectively, of its board of directors. The roles are updated triannually.

Born in Mexico City, Karla Vazquez has lived in Nashville for 20 years and has spent more than a decade as a resource mobilizer, fundraising and building infrastructure systems for the immigrant rights movement and other social justice groups at the local, national and international level. A Lipscomb University graduate, Karla currently works as the Director of People and Organizational Growth for the Youth Engagement Fund (YEF) where she designs and implements engagement strategies and infrastructure for resource building and organizational sustainability. She has served on the TLACC board for four years as a voting board member. Karla previously served as the Futuro Junior Board member for three years. Karla also serves on the boards of Aventura Community School, Edgehill Neighborhood Partnership, and Primera Academia ABC.

Eva Angelina Romero was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Nashville in 2012. She graduated from California State University, Northridge and continued her Graduate studies at various universities in business and entrepreneurship. She is the current Broker/Owner of Century 21 Capital Properties and co-owner of Solace Oral Surgery and SOMOSS. She strives to develop leaders within her companies through mentorship, teaching and also providing leadership opportunities. Eva currently serves on the board of the NAHREP Midwest Corporate Board of Governors, the American Red Cross, ELLA (Entrepreneur Latina Leaders of America) and is the current president of the HDSA (Huntington's Disease of America) TN Chapter. She has served on the TLACC board for four years.

Karla and Eva will be presented to the TLACC membership at the next Networking Luncheon on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
