Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well.
This school year, we celebrated “A Year of Excellence,” welcoming 30 new families, launching a hands-on, conversational Hebrew curriculum, and introducing the Arbel family as our energetic Shlichim (visiting educators from Israel).
We expanded immersive learning experiences like School in the Woods and community connections, strengthened campus security, introduced dynamic enhancements in Early Childhood, and expanded our music program - all reflecting our commitment to growth, innovation, and Jewish values.
Building on this year's momentum, we are thrilled to introduce next year's theme:
CELEBRATING A YEAR OF STEAM!

2025-2026: Celebrating a Year of STEAM
A Year of STEAM is an initiative where Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics blend seamlessly with Judaic learning. We are delighted to welcome André Van Vuuren as our incoming STEAM Coordinator. With extensive teaching experience in mathematics and science at various international schools, Mr. André brings our students a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm, and a passion for hands-on learning. He will also be guiding students in science fairs and other regional competitions, inspiring them to think critically and push their creative boundaries.

Exciting Enhancements Across Grades
|
|
|
EC WONDER LAB
Next year, EC students will participate in age-appropriate, hands-on science workshops that relate to the Creative Curriculum theme of the week. With the help of Mr. André, teachers will guide preschoolers in exciting scientific discoveries!
EC CHARACTER EDUCATION
Social-emotional learning rooted in Jewish values is at the heart of our EC program. Students will learn skills necessary to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive relationships in a nurturing environment.
Through immersive experiences, early Hebrew, Judaics, math, and science exposure, music, movement, and the Creative Curriculum, our youngest learners will continue to explore and discover.
|
|
DISCOVERY DEN
Lower School students will participate in biweekly visits to the STEAM lab, where they will engage in hands-on, inquiry-based workshops led by Mr. André. These interactive sessions will deepen their understanding of scientific concepts, enhance problem-solving skills, and foster a love for discovery and innovation.
STEAM POWER HOUR
On Tuesdays, lower school students will dive into deeper learning by selecting an additional specialized elective in science, music, or visual arts, allowing them to further explore their passions beyond the standard curricula.
TRILINGUAL EDUCATION
Conversational Hebrew learning will continue to be enriched by our Shlichim, and Spanish language has been added to ensure trilingual fluency.
|
| STEAM POWER HOUR
Each Wednesday, middle schoolers will choose an additional specialized elective to explore deeper learning in their choice of science and engineering, technology, arts, and mathematics.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Students will have monthly opportunities for off-campus, experiential learning. Some of these trips include School in the Woods, a Civil Rights Trip to Atlanta, and an immersive Jewish Charleston tour, where students can explore the rich heritage and lasting impact of Jewish life in our city.
GUITAR INSTRUCTION
Middle school will learn guitar with Samantha Kirshtein, our talented music teacher and AHA graduate with two albums on Spotify!
