House That Built Me: Former Audacy Digital Content Producer Monica Rivera has joined the company for a third time as Cood./Promotions for the San Diego cluster that includes KSON. After getting her start as Asst. Dir./Promotions for then Entercom/San Diego, she relocated to Nashville, where she was All Access/Nashville Assoc. Editor before re-joining Entercom as Lead/Country Music Digital Content in 2021 (CAT 3/26/21). She left Audacy last year in a round of downsizing and returned to San Diego (CAT 3/10/25). Signage: Big Machine Records has signed Backbeat Troubadours, the duo consisting of Mark Collie and Billy Bob Thornton. Their debut song, “True American Racer (500 Miles) (featuring Slash),” is featured in the documentary Bobby Rahal: True American Racer, which debuts tonight (5/8) on FS1. The documentary's soundtrack, set for release in July, also includes songs from Riley Green, Brothers Osborne, The Jack Wharff Band, Mackenzie Carpenter, Greylan James, Marfa, Cole Goodwin, Danielle Bradbery and Rascal Flatts. |

Bits & Pieces: Appalachian State University presented an honorary music degree to Luke Combs during its May 7 commencement ceremonies. The honor recognizes Combs for "his historic achievements in the music industry and his commitment to using his platform as a catalyst for service and community impact."
Kane Brown’s On Broadway will open in Nashville May 22 with surprise appearances from Brown throughout the weekend, as well as a charitable partnership with Folds of Honor. The multi-story bar, restaurant and live music venue is located in the 11,400 sq. ft. building that previously housed The Valentine (CAT 2/19).
Staffers at Ascension St. John in Tulsa decorated the hospital to look like Griffin Classic Country KVOO. After hearing about it, the station's air staff stopped by this morning (5/8) to have a look and hand out shirts and Starbucks gift cards to the hospital team. Watch here.
