Join City Council for a Town Hall About Improving Neighborhood Streets and Emergency Services
Please join Mayor Nancy McNally and the Westminster City Council for a town hall to discuss funding improvements for emergency services and neighborhood streets on Thursday, July 24 from 5 to 8 pm at West View Recreation Center (10747 W. 108th Ave).
The City faces two challenges:
- The ability to repair and maintain our streets to the level that our residents expect has declined due to the rapidly rising cost of concrete, asphalt, and other materials. At our current rate, the quality of our streets will continue to drop over the next 10 years.
- The need to build new fire stations in order to close service gaps. Without the necessary investments, Fire and paramedics may not be able to reach a victim within six minutes – which can be the difference between life and death.
Beginning at 5 pm, City staff will have numerous fire vehicles, work trucks, educational displays, and activities for residents, families, and kids of all ages to experience. Food and beverages will be provided.
