Getting Ready for the ACH Withdrawal on March 21 |
The first ACH (aka Automated Clearing House) withdrawal will be processed from the troop bank account on March 21. This amount is calculated by multiplying $1 by the total packages received by the troop as of March 14, minus any credit card, Venmo, and PayPal payments made through Digital Cookie. To review the Troop’s total packages, check the Troop Balance Summary Report in Smart Cookies. The primary contact listed in Smart Cookies will receive an email with ACH details on March 17 or 18.
Here are a few examples of how this will work with digital payments:
|
- If the troop’s Total Packages received in Smart Cookies is 846 packages as of March 14 and the troop has $198 in Digital Cookie payments , then River Valleys will withdraw $648 from the troop bank account.
-
If the troop’s Total Packages received in Smart Cookies is 867 as of March 14 and the troop has $930 in Digital Cookie payments, then River Valleys will not withdraw any funds from the troop account because the troop has $63 more in deposits than the ACH amount.
|
Deposit all cash and checks into your troop bank account by March 18. Check the ACH FAQ’s found on Cookie Central for more details. ACH withdrawal amounts will appear in Smart Cookies 1-2 days after the funds are withdrawn from the troop’s bank account.
If your troop is only participating in online sales and is due a refund for troop proceeds earned, River Valleys will process that refund to the troop bank account by ACH at the end of April.

Weekly Winners: Cookie Seller Spotlight & Cookie Spirit Awards |
This week’s Cookie Seller Spotlight Winners are:
Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner: Troop 47959 knows that teamwork is key to a successful cookie booth! They’ve assigned job roles to each scout, rotating through their shift to practice customer service, inventory management, and money skills. To make selling even more fun, they use a BINGO board strategy, which customers love, and scouts earn exciting rewards like spa nights, ice cream socials, and s’mores nights! This year, they added a “Spin the Wheel” game to help undecided customers choose their cookies.
|
Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winner: Troop 57748 work together to engineer, build, and decorate their “Food Truck Cookie Booth" which they used for a full day of Walmart booths. It really upped the customer interest and the girls excitement to sell in this weekend’s beautiful weather.
With six years of experience selling together, they have shifted focus to team success over individual goals. This year they pushed to have more booths, which has been exceptional for their team focus. For the first time, inventory management has become a scout-led role—with adult volunteers stepping back into supervision. The troop has carefully planned their booth needs and troop inventory for on-hand sales of 3000 packages themselves!
|
Girl Scouts in the winning troops receive the 2025 Cookie Seller Spotlight patch. All weekly winners are eligible for Cookie Seller Spotlight of the Year and the grand prize, a Dave & Buster's Experience for their troop. Submit your troop or Girl Scout's story today.
|
This week’s Cookie Spirit Award Winners are:
Rebecca Peterson has been a Troop Leader and Cookie Manager for 14 years, helping both her daughters reach their goals, including selling over 1000 packages for two straight years! Her daughter says Rebecca has dedicated her to time to get her where she is in Girl Scouts and she’s thankful for all her hard work being put into her cookie goals.
Jessie Ayotte has been the troop leader from the start and the girls are now in 5th grade. She is always the biggest champion of cookie season including creating fun challenges for the girls to earn little prizes and rewards along the way. Plus she develops activities to encourage and empower girls, while making sure they have all the booths, cookies, supplies, and answers to their questions, all while managing her own family of 6!
Rebecca and Jessie will receive a Cookies On the Go prize pack. Nominate a cookie volunteer for consideration today. All submissions will carry over each week.
