Dan Scolnic Named Presidential Fellow
Dan Scolnic, associate professor of physics in Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, has been named Duke’s presidential fellow for 2025–2026, a program offering faculty a year-long, behind-the-scenes view of university administration. A leading cosmologist who studies the universe’s expansion, dark energy and dark matter, Scolnic brings both academic expertise and a keen interest in institutional decision-making, having previously completed a self-initiated internship with Duke’s finance team. In his fellowship year, he will work closely with senior leaders, participate in high-level meetings and rotate through academic and administrative units before leading a special project next spring.
