| From Work Crew to Wyldlife Leader
|
Let's hear from one of our alumni, Henry (orange ball cap, fourth toward the back left)!
"Over the last year, I’ve gotten to serve our Lord through work crew at Windy Gap on outdoor crew (best job by the way), and then I got placed as a Wyldlife leader at Avery Trace Middle School in Cookeville where I go to college. It has been so interesting to experience different styles of serving and the super awesome and more difficult parts of each. I really loved the clear objectives and clearly visible progress of working on the outdoor crew where we could physically see the impacts of our work over just a couple hours; however, that side of things definitely lacks a lot of the sweetness and relationship building that comes from more direct ministry like leading Wyldlife.
"Another aspect that would be silly to omit is the community of friends that I get to serve alongside in either setting. In just these last few months since I’ve been placed, I have made so many friends that love Jesus too, and we get to have fun serving alongside each other and build each other up on our tough days."
