IN COLLABORATION WTIH AJC, HIGHER ED GROUPS PLEDGE REFORMS TO FIGHT CAMPUS ANTISEMITISM
The American Jewish Committee (AJC), Association of American Universities (AAU), and American Council on Education (ACE), along with several partner organizations, issued a joint statement expressing concern over recent federal actions they believe threaten academic freedom, research funding and institutional autonomy. While reaffirming the need to combat antisemitism on campuses, the organizations emphasized the importance of, "the proper and essential role for the U.S. government in addressing antisemitism is through the nation’s powerful anti-discrimination laws, which allow for vigorous enforcement while providing due process rights that are essential to ensure fair treatment of individuals and institutions."
