Sacramento State marked the start of a new academic year with its largest-ever Hornet Nest Fest, welcoming more than 10,000 new students, families and supporters to campus. The event featured food, music, games and opportunities for students to explore campus programs and services.
President Luke Wood emphasized the importance of student engagement, encouraging new Hornets to get involved in campus life. "The main thing is to get connected. Get involved in something on campus, because that's where you build the community that's going to keep you here," Wood said.
"This is the largest turnout in Sacramento State's history," Wood added. "That's shown that we know how to throw an engagement that allows students to express themselves and their individual identities."
