The Orange County Roadshow brings staff to a neighborhood near you to present information and answer questions about Orange County programs and services.

The September 21 event will have a special focus on volunteer opportunities within the county. This is a free, family friendly event and will include art activities for kids. Beverages and snacks will be provided.

Nominate a Direct Care Worker for a SHARP Award by October 4

The Orange County Dept. on Aging is accepting nominations for the 2024 Direct Care Worker Awards. This event is in honor of Direct Care Workers (nurse aides, personal care aides, companion caregivers, etc.) who affect their clients’ lives on a daily basis and make a difference in the Orange County community. To be eligible, direct care workers must have served clients in Orange County within the past year. Each person may be nominated in two categories. Nominees must have provided direct care to clients and have at least six consecutive months of service in the past year.
