End-of-Year Reminder

The last day of 2023 will be here before we know it. If you want to make a gift  from an IRA checkbook or a gift of stock or securities, you should work with your financial professional to ensure your gift is received and completed before the end of the year. We recommend that stocks be transferred by mid- December and that gifts from an IRA checkbook arrive at Williams by Dec. 20 to clear by the end of the year.

  • In an interview with Resources Radio, Sarah Jacobson, professor of economics, discusses how systemic racism can affect environmental economics research and how some research may unintentionally render outcomes that discriminate.
  • “Jewellery in India is much more than the intrinsic value it holds, perhaps more so than in any other part of the world,” writes Aparna Kapadia, associate professor of history, in her new Scroll.in column that looks at how centuries of Indian jewelry tell a story of the cross-cultural exchanges and influences that have shaped India’s present.
  • Neil Roberts, associate dean of the faculty and the John B. McCoy and John T. McCoy Professor of Africana Studies, speaks with political theorist Melvin Rogers on the YouTube channel Boston Review about the role of democracy in African American political thought and the legacies of individuals who built this American tradition.
