New Online Course Review Program

Last week, our office held a virtual session to launch the next phase of the Engaged Online Course Initiative (EOCI). We are proud to announce the creation of a new course review process that utilizes UT’s own quality online rubric. This initiative helps faculty and academic units align their courses with research-based principles related to online course design and development. In addition, instructors can participate in a new peer review process, which allows them to receive a course certification.

Beginning this week, instructors can now sign up to serve as peer reviewers and request to have their courses reviewed. You can find out more information on our Engaged Online Course Review page.

Introducing Digital Learning at UT
Motivated by the broader vision of increasing access to higher education for Tennesseans, the University of Tennessee continues to work actively and strategically to expand its portfolio of online degree programs. Digital Learning at UT, formerly EdPlus at UT, was created to focus on advancing UT’s online education initiative while fostering collaboration across the campus. The new Digital Learning website was recently launched as part of that effort.

Digital Learning is committed to providing an outstanding educational experience to fully online learners. Online Learning, formerly OLAP, and VolsOnline are part of Digital Learning at UT. The Online Learning website continues to highlight the services and resources available to faculty for developing online courses. Our online programs will continue to be known as Vols Online. Together, they offer comprehensive support and services for instructional design, marketing, and student coaching.
