Grading Information from the Registrar

All final grades are due for the Spring 2024 semester on Monday, May 13. It is imperative that all grades are submitted by the due date, including term grades (A-E, CR/NC, V, EU), Incompletes, or “T” grades. After the due date, the Office of the Registrar will convert all blank grades to EU, which is treated as an E in calculating students’ grade point averages, per University Policy 6-100-III Section G3.

Failure to report grades in a timely manner has prevented students from graduating and ordering finalized transcripts. This delay has also prohibited other students from being admitted to graduate programs or accepting employment opportunities and can jeopardize financial aid and international visa statuses.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and would ask for this communication to be distributed to others (i.e. Teaching Assistants) within your respective college and department. A quick reference guide, training manual, and other grading information are available online to assist you with grading.

If you have any questions or anticipate that you will not be able to meet the grading due date, please contact registration@utah.edu or call 801-581-8969 for assistance.
