Thank you for your support and participation during the inaugural year of the network. We've grown in numbers (225!), learned from each other, and shared resources and ideas. We are planning another great year of programs and look forward to your insight and involvement!

Starting in the fall semester, a committee with representatives from University Communications, Information Technology and UCN began meeting to create a working document of best practices to consider when using generative artificial intelligence in communications.

The AI guidelines draft, created by Brian Vernellis, is now ready to be reviewed by all UCN members. Please review this document and add comments and suggestions. When ready, this website will be posted on the Identity and UComm websites and shared widely throughout the university.

The GVSU AI academic policy can be found on the GVSU IT website. 

We open the year of UCN programming with a presentation from Robert Shorty, vice president for People, Equity, and Culture. Join us on Monday, February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. at the L. William Seidman Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.

In addition to Shorty's keynote presentation, members of University Development's Annual Giving Team will give a preview of Day of Giving, which is March 20. They’ll share an overview of the campaign, a brief communications plan and how each area of campus can get involved.

There also will be dedicated time for networking and sharing resources. Snacks and beverages will be served.
