When you pray, you are actively participating...choosing to join God in what he is already doing. Prayer is something that can be done alone or with others. Prayer can be silent, a whisper, a cry, a shout, an outpouring of emotions in any and every language. Prayer can be spoken, it can be sung, it can be written, it can be drawn. Prayer is an intimate, relational interaction with the One who created and formed us, The Great I am, our Father God.
As we look at our broken, wounded world, we have more questions than answers to meet the needs of the age in which we live. However, we know the answer is to be found in Jesus!
For 28 years, Nazarene Missions International has called the Church of the Nazarene to participate in the Global Week of Prayer (GWP). Each year during the week that includes the first Friday of March (designated as the World Day of Prayer), Nazarenes around the world are guided through prayer and praise items from each of the six world regions. Many continue to pray throughout the year for the requests of the annual GWP emphasis. Materials have been developed for adults and children to encourage full participation in the 2025 Global Week of Prayer. These materials will be available in the new year.
Mark your calendars, set an alarm, tell your friends...it’s a week when Nazarenes around the world will join together on every continent, in every time zone, to pray, praise, and participate in what our God has done, is doing, and will do. Are you ready? Don’t miss it! Pray with us!
