City Manager Mark A. Freitag Resigns
Earlier today, City Manager Mark A. Freitag submitted, and the City Council accepted, his letter of resignation as city manager. In order to ensure a smooth transition, and with the full support of City Council, Deputy City Manager Jody Andrews will serve as acting city manager while City Council begins a recruitment process for a permanent city manager.
“Under my leadership, we were able to begin two generational investments in Westminster’s infrastructure. The drinking water facility project will make Westminster’s water supply more resilient, meet future clean water laws, and allow the city to responsibly decommission the aging Semper water treatment plant. And the municipal courthouse will offer our staff the ability to deliver justice in a safe and secure environment,” said Freitag. “These two significant infrastructure investments will benefit Westminster residents, families, and businesses for generations.”
