John Romig, assistant professor of special education, is the host of the new podcast SPED Legacy. The podcast explores the past, present, and future of special education through conversations with people who have made contributions to the field.

| Honors for Maverick veterans
|
The Texas Rangers and American Airlines have recognized Maverick military veterans Dalton Owens and Katheryn Freeman for their outstanding service to the nation. Owens and Freeman were chosen for the monthly Faces of Freedom program, which recognizes active or retired members of the military for their courage, strength, and patriotism in the line of duty.

A current remote work agreement is required for anyone who works remotely or is planning to participate in flexible summer hours program. Summer remote work agreements are due before Monday, June 5, and the form should be updated every time there is a change to your remote work hours or upon expiration. Grants and contracts workshop

All department administrators are invited to join the Office of Grants and Contracts Services to attend the National Council of University Research Administrators Departmental Research Administration Workshop June 26-29, 12-4 p.m. daily. Topics include best practices, administration of sponsored awards throughout the award lifecycle, and pre-award practices that ensure effective and streamlined post-award management. Lunch will be provided. RSVP by Thursday, June 15.

Windows 11 is now available to all faculty and staff as an upgrade to eligible devices and on new Dell devices. If you would like to upgrade your existing device(s), submit a self-service ticket to determine eligibility. New Dell devices will arrive with Windows 11 installed.
