August 11 – Your Reminder to Call 811
August 11 (8-11) was National Safe Digging Day, a natural reminder to call 811 prior to any digging project to have underground utility lines marked. Call at least 48 hours prior to digging to ensure enough time for utility lines to be properly marked. When you call 811, a representative will ask for the location and description of your digging project. The call center will notify affected utility companies, who will then send a professional locator to the proposed dig site to mark the approximate location of your lines. Once lines have been properly marked, you can carefully dig in other areas. |
Happy Workaversary
Congratulations to our Client Success Manager Missy Sander-Stork on 22 years with WIN and to Tim Henriksen in our IT department on finishing his 2nd year! We are currently taking applications for 2 positions in our Carroll Operations Facility. We are looking for the right candidates to fill a Client Experience Specialist position as well as a Cellular Consultant position. Listings for both positions can be found at this link. If you know of some friends, neighbors or family members who live in one of our serving areas and does not have WIN for their provider, you can refer them and get a $50 bill credit for each person you refer! Even better...they also get a $50 bill credit. Just have them give us your name when they sign up! The best part is that there is no limit to the number of people you can refer! Call or text 712-775-2946 for details! |
WIN Staff Attend Ribbon Cutting
Members of the WIN team attended the ribbon cutting for Pottawattamie County's new Secondary Roads Facility on August 1st. The property also houses one of WIN's new Central Offices. Congratulations on your beautiful new facility! August 9th ended up being a beautiful day, especially on hole 13 at the Carroll Municipal Golf Course! We sponsored the Carroll Chamber Ag Golf Outing again this year and were able to talk to a lot of great folks. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our tent! We recently provided lunch for our employees as part of the Carroll United Way Grill Out. The burgers were delicious! Thank you to the United Way for all you do! Macedonia's Donia Days Parade was a big one with hundreds of tractors joining the parade. We were happy to be a part of this great event again this year! Again this year, we were voted "Best Of" in 3 separate categories for the Carroll Herald's People's Choice Awards! We finished at the top of the Best Cell Phone Store and Best Internet Service Provider categories. And one of our Client Experience Specialists, Jackie McFarland, was voted best Customer Service Representative! |
