Emory University Chaplaincy chaplains are available Monday through Friday from approximately Noon-2 pm during term in AMUC Suite 125 to offer pastoral care and have meetings with students, faculty, and staff. The general schedule is below and may vary semester to semester.

Emory Journeys
Journeys Vietnam
May 13-22, 2026
Applications Due: Friday, October 10, 2025 
As 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, Journeys will visit Vietnam and learn from those on the ground how they have healed and rebuilt from that time. We will explore the multireligious history of Vietnam, including the influences of folk religion, Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, and Christianity, traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Huê to Hanoi. We will also learn about the nonviolent peace activism of the late Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh, known as the “father of mindfulness,” and a leading figure of engaged Buddhism.
Journeys of Reconciliation is an interfaith travel and learning immersion program that explores issues of social justice and builds relationships between Emory University and communities in the U.S. and around the world. Recap: First Meeting of the Inter-Religious Council 2025-2026
The Emory Undergraduate Inter-Religious Council 2025-2026 held its first meeting of the academic year on Monday, September 8 in the DCT Dining Room. The council, comprised of representatives from each of Emory's registered undergraduate spiritual organizations, along with several at-large members, meets weekly. This organization has been ongoing for over 30 years on the Emory Atlanta campus. Emory IRC’s mission is to build and sustain a healthy, religiously pluralistic campus climate by (1) networking our spiritual communities, (2) growing as a community in religious literacy and interfaith leadership, dialogue, and action skills, and (3) serving the larger campus community through interfaith initiatives and programs. The Emory University School of Law, working with the Emory University Chaplaincy, has designed and outfitted a new Prayer and Meditation Room in Gambrell Hall, Room G305A. The room is available for use by students, faculty, and staff, and all are invited to a brief opening celebration and reception on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 12:30 pm outside the room. International Community Friday Lunch (ICFL) is a long-standing collaboration between the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life (OSRL) and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). The purpose of these events is to extend a warm welcome to international students and scholars, share helpful resources, and create a space for the international community to gather in supportive community.

Mindfulness Circle at Interfaith Center

Hindu Students Association: Garba

Garba is a Gujarati festival that takes place during the nine-day Hindu celebration of Navratri. The Hindu Students Association (HSA) has been hosting a university-wide Garba for the past 12 years, making it our biggest special event. In recent years, we’ve welcomed over 600 attendees, bringing together students, faculty, and community members. 
Our Garba includes an aarti (small Hindu prayer), performances by on-campus dance groups, three types of open dance floors (Garba, Dandiya, and Bollywood), a full catered dinner, and a South Asian DJ. Emory HSA strives to ensure that Garba is accessible to anyone who would like to attend. The event is held at the Emory Student Center, at the heart of campus, and is completely free. Join Georgia Interfaith Power & Light, the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Adamah Atlanta, and Ismaili CIVIC on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. for a special interfaith creek cleanup across six metro Atlanta sites. This meaningful cleanup celebrates World Rivers Day, Reverse Tashlich, and Global Ismaili CIVIC Day—three powerful traditions of service, reflection, and environmental care. World Rivers Day highlights the international importance of our rivers and inspires renewed commitment to protecting them. In Reverse Tashlich, Jewish communities turn ritual into action by removing human “sin” (pollution) from waterways and offering a clean start to the new year. And Global Ismaili CIVIC Day calls Ismaili Muslims to serve their communities worldwide through volunteerism. Together, communities of all faiths are invited to act upon a shared ethic of environmental stewardship and care for our Common Home. All living creatures deserve clean water

Pastoral Leadership in a Time of Christian Nationalism

In a time when Christian nationalism is gaining both cultural and political traction, the work of pastoral leadership requires renewed theological reflection, moral clarity, and prophetic courage. Candler is hosting this set of four public lectures to start conversations and offer resources to equip pastors and church leaders to respond faithfully to the challenges posed by this growing movement.

Wellbeing Coaching at Emory
Wellbeing Coaching is a free service for all undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at Emory University. Wellbeing Coaching is a good fit for students who would like to make changes in their lives through support, discussion, reflection, developing a plan, and taking action. Wellbeing Coaching is the collaboration between you and your coach to identify motivations, values, and strengths while creating a map for positive behavior change.
A Coach will work with you over a series of sessions to help you focus on achieving goals that are meaningful to you. Whether it’s being more active, improving your sleep, making social connections, or focusing on other areas of wellbeing, a Coach can help you build a plan to reach your wellbeing goals.
