As the fall semester continues here at UTA, the campus is buzzing with energy, and the enthusiasm is truly inspiring. Our students, faculty, and staff are eagerly embracing the fresh opportunities that come with a new academic term.
Earlier this month, UTA leaders and community stakeholders gathered to celebrate a year of progress and accomplishment for my inaugural State of the University address. During this gathering, I announced our new RISE 100 initiative, where we are planning to add 100 new faculty to enhance the student experience and expand our research impact. I also had the privilege of sharing the many innovative initiatives and progress we’ve made in our five strategic theme areas, as well as my first UTA Annual Report.
Our dedication to excellence and community impact continues to bear fruit. I am delighted to announce that two of our exceptional programs have been chosen as finalists for the 2023 Examples in Excelencia awards. UTA's commitment to pioneering research, transformative breakthroughs, and meaningful collaborations is evident in the wide array of endeavors taking place across our campus, which you can read more about in this month’s newsletter.
