Research Security and Integrity
The research security and integrity (RSI) training is available for those individuals who have been hired since the training was initiated on April 1, 2025. Individuals who missed the May 31, 2025 deadline are highly encouraged to complete the training immediately. All faculty members, staff, investigators, personnel, students, trainees, fellows, visitors and volunteers who participate or intend to participate in sponsored research are required to complete the training. The RSI webpage and instruction sheet should answer most questions for enrolling and completing the training. The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) has begun to review new awards and renewals for compliance before the award can be processed and move forward.

NIH Publication Requirements
The National Institutes of Health released a notice (NOT-OD-25-101) accelerating the implementation of efforts to make NIH research publicly available. Beginning July 1, 2025, "The NIH Public Access Policy requires the submission of an electronic version of the Author Accepted Manuscript to PubMed Central upon its acceptance for publication for public availability without embargo upon the Official Date of Publication" (NOT-OD-25-047).

Training and Career Development
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Grants and Funding website now includes the NIH Research Training and Career Development link. Researchers will ‘still be able to find NIH funding opportunities by career stage or program type, alongside application and policy resources’.
