NDAA TEXT RELEASED

On Saturday, the House and Senate Armed Services Committee released the text of the compromised National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The bill authorizes $883.7 billion in spending, including $849.9 billion for Department of Defense programs and $33.3 billion for national security programs at the Department of Energy and the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. The House Rules Committee approved a rule last night to set the framework for debate on the FY25 NDAA, allowing for it to go to the floor for action. Once the House votes, the Senate plans to quickly pass the bill, allowing President Biden to sign it before the holiday season.

Duke in DC hosts academic programs, DC-based university faculty and staff, alumni receptions and meetings, as well as other activities and events related to official university business in Washington.
