Orange County Government has received three prestigious 2025 Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo), recognizing the county’s commitment to innovative, impactful public service. The awards celebrate exceptional county programs that enhance services for residents and improve quality of life.

The honored programs include R Place, the Community Care and Diversion Response (CCDR) Team and the Uproar Festival of Public Art.

Street Medicine Pop-Up Event July 22

In support of our unsheltered residents, Orange County and its community partners are hosting a special pop-up event where individuals can connect with resources and get support, including medical services, behavioral health resources, dental care, pet care, help with housing intakes and benefits and more.

The event will take place on July 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parking lot of University Baptist Church, 100 S. Columbia St., Chapel Hill.
