UTA will celebrate the accomplishments of its newest Maverick alumni with ceremonies Friday, Dec. 13, at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The ceremony time will be approximately two to two and a half hours.

| NCAA Volleyball Tournament watch parties
|
The UTA volleyball team will compete in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Gregory Gymnasium in Austin at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 5. The match will be available for subscribers to watch on ESPN+. Watch parties will be held at Dave & Busters in Arlington and Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Euless. Research Enhancement Program taking applications

Proposals for the Research Enhancement Program (REP) must be submitted by tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 6, for consideration. REP grants provide faculty with seed grants to launch new initiatives, serving as a foundation for future research and funding from external sources.

One way that schools in America are working to improve mental health among students is by adding social workers to their staff. Jennifer Murphy, assistant professor of social work, led a study that showed how social workers are being underutilized in many districts.
