Brigid Maher signed an exclusive distribution deal for her film Experimental Curator: The Sally Dixon Story with the Documentary Education Resource (DER), Inc. The distribution deal (similar with a publishing deal) covers international rights and all platforms, including theatrical, education, streaming and home video.Founded in 1968, DER’s mission is to champion the creation, circulation, and preservation of documentary film and media that amplifies underrepresented voices, and inspires understanding about people, cultures, and identities of the world.

Joe Campbell helped plan, and participated in, last week's full moon tour of the arboretum that is the AU campus -- the latest outing in an undertaking he originated in 2016. He was joined in the initiative by AU landscape architect Mike Mastrota and grounds supervisor Stephanie de Stefano. The walking tour has since become a popular community relations event. Last week's event attracted some 90 people, nearly all of whom were AU neighbors.
The Journalism Division hosted a group of journalism educators from Georgia (the country, not the state) Friday, April 7th. Terry Bryant organized and led the visit. The group of 10 journalism instructors visited Adjunct Professor Patricia Guadalupe's COMM 200 (Writing for Communication) course Friday morning, then participated in a curriculum development discussion with Amy Eisman, Margot Susca and Terry Bryant Friday afternoon. Dean Sam Fulwood also spoke to the group. The Georgian journalism educators said they were impressed with SOC's curriculum and plan to incorporate some of our methods in their curriculum when they get back home.
