This is a 10-day MATH program offered by NJCU that helps students complete their developmental and/or pre-requisites level MATH courses prior to the start of Spring 2025.

How much does it cost?
Tuition is FREE but students must commit to the 10-day program as an investment in their education to test out of Math 96/106, 112, or 100. This is a hybrid delivery program. Students must attend in-person on January 6 and January 17, and online using Zoom the other days. Students must have internet access to a computer with a video camera and be engaged in classes during the scheduled time on Zoom. Campus computers are also available as a convenient option for attending classes. Participating completely online is not an option.

Does this affect my Financial Aid?
No, actually this program helps you save your Financial Aid by giving you the opportunity to reduce the number of course hours required to complete your Math prerequisites.

Ask. Listen. Refer. is an online suicide prevention training designed to give you the skills to recognize signs of suicide and have a conversation with someone you are concerned about. As we continue to dedicate ourselves to increasing mental health awareness, and suicide prevention efforts, this training is essential for all of our offices. It will take about 15-20 minutes and has very valuable information.

This interactive online suicide prevention program has been shown to increase the ability of students to recognize and respond to peers at risk for suicide.

Dr. Larry D. Johnson Jr. has served as the second president of the Stella and Charles Guttman Community College-CUNY since July 2021. Prior to joining Guttman, Johnson served as the first Black president of Phoenix College—a first in the college’s 100-year history. He has also served as provost, department chair, and a full-time faculty at two and four-year institutions.
