Weekly Winners: Cookie Seller Spotlight & Cookie Spirit Awards |
This week’s Cookie Seller Spotlight Winners are:
Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner: Phoenix M (Daisy, Troop #58515)
Phoenix, a determined 7-year-old Daisy, had her best selling day ever, moving over 120 packages across two booths! As the only seller in her troop, she didn’t slow down.
She started the day at drag story hour, selling door-to-door before her first booth. She meticulously arranged cookies in rainbow order and took charge, telling parents to “step back” so she could organize. Even though the booth sold only 9 packages, she stayed positive, made new friends, and spread the word about Girl Scouts.
At her second booth, Phoenix greeted customers, handed out Cookie Entrepreneur business cards, and promoted her cookie website. Her top selling strategy? Encouraging customers to order girl delivery—promising to bring them more cookies when they run out! She sold an impressive 8 cases and confidently declared she plans to be president one day!
|
Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winner: Aida L (Senior, Troop #17936)
In her 10th year selling Girl Scout cookies, this dedicated Dream Team seller continues to ask everyone she sees—even though she hears more "no’s" as she gets older. One slow morning at a Lowe’s cookie booth, she asked a passing couple if they’d like to buy cookies. When they didn’t respond, she assumed they were ignoring her—until she noticed them signing to each other in ASL. Without hesitation, she began signing back, engaging in a five-minute conversation with them.
After three years of ASL study, she confidently discussed cookie flavors, even sharing tips like microwaving Adventurefuls for extra gooey goodness! The couple happily bought three boxes before continuing their shopping. Later, their adult CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) daughter approached and thanked her for taking the time to connect with her parents. She shared how rare and meaningful that experience was for them.
A simple moment of kindness and communication turned into something truly special—and a proud parent moment to remember!

Girl Scouts in the winning troops receive the 2025 Cookie Seller Spotlight patch. All weekly winners are eligible for Cookie Seller Spotlight of the Year and the grand prize, a Dave & Buster's Experience for their troop. Submit your troop or Girl Scout's story today.

This week’s Cookie Spirit Award Winners are:
Katelyn Swanlund: As a first-year Daisy troop, the cookie world was a new, Adventurful experience. We were on Thin Mints until Katelyn stepped up to take on the crucial role of Cookie Manager! She has gone above and beyond to ensure our troop has all the resources and support needed so our sales would not Trefoil. She has Sandwiched together presentations for families, organized all cookie booths, dedicated her home to our cookie storage, and has become a cookie expert. She has made this first cookie season a true Caramel deLite for all the girls and families. A huge Toast-Yay for the best Cookie Manager around!
Chad Senesac: Chad is the cookie manager for my older daughter's troop. As you can see by his email address, “chadthecookiedad”, he takes his role as "cookie dad" seriously. It's awesome to see a dad step in for this role. He is very positive about cookie season and keeps all troop members informed about all things cookies!
Katelyn and Chad will receive a Cookies On the Go prize pack. Nominate a cookie volunteer for consideration today. All submissions will carry over each week.

Community Season Wrap-Up Support |
One of the most important deadlines of the season is the reward deadline. What can you do to assist your Troops?
|
- Reach out to Troops to remind them of the April 7 deadline.
- Run the Troop On Hand Inventory Report in Smart Cookies to review the list of troops that have not allocated their cookies or are showing negative inventory. Connect with these troops to offer your assistance.
-
Review the Troop Balance Summary Report and alert troops at the 300/400/500 PGA levels that they must order the rewards in Smart Cookies. If the troop doesn't have a second contact in Smart Cookies they will not be able to order the 500 PGA reward for 2 troop volunteers.
|
Troops will be locked out of editing reward orders after April 7. Communities can make edits to Troop reward orders also until April 7 at 11:59 PM. View the actions needed on your SU Dashboard in Smart Cookies under the Action Items section. Click on the link under each action item listed below and export the results to Excel to view the affected troops and the action they are missing:
|
- Troops with no Main Recognition Order: Shows Troops that have not started an order.
- Incomplete Recognition Orders: Shows Troops where an action is missing for a reward.
|
If reward choices are not made by April 7, the rewards will be defaulted to Cookie Credits.
Note: To view the Senior and Ambassador troops that opted out of rewards, run the Troop Balance Summary report to see the “opt out” under the Troop proceed plan.
|
Community Reward Shipment Address Reminder |
Rewards will ship to the address you have listed in Smart Cookies. To verify or update your address, go to Smart Cookies: My Service Unit>Service Unit Info. If the information for the volunteer and address is correct, no action is needed. If the volunteer information is incorrect, update the information in each field, then click on Update Information to save your edits. You will need your Member ID # from your myGS account. The Member ID must be entered into the User Global ID field. Reach out to us if you need assistance in updating the information. Complete this step by April 7. Rewards will ship the week of May 19. More information on how to distribute rewards will be provided ahead of receiving the shipment.
