It’s Here: the NC State Wolfpack Performance Program

University Human Resources is pleased to announce that the Wolfpack Performance Program, a new online performance management system, will be available in Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service in MyPack Portal as of April 1. WPP will replace the university’s current paper-based evaluation process for SHRA and EHRA nonfaculty employees.

Supervisors will create performance plans for the 2023-24 cycle in WPP. They can begin making plans for SHRA employees in April and for EHRA nonfaculty employees in July. Supervisors will enter performance goals and development plans directly into the WPP system, which will store that information and calculate overall performance ratings for supervisors. Supervisors can print performance plans if they need to.

To learn more about the system, watch this video.

WPP Training Sessions for Supervisors of SHRA Employees

UHR has designed in-person and asynchronous training sessions for supervisors of SHRA employees because supervisors initiate the performance planning process; therefore, it is extremely important for supervisors to be familiar with this system’s nuances and functionality. In addition, it is crucial for supervisors to have a thorough understanding of the WPP system at the outset of the process. While the WPP system is fairly easy to navigate, it won’t be intuitive for supervisors if they do not complete a training session.

On-demand asynchronous training for SHRA employees and supervisors of SHRA employees will be available March 20. Those sessions will be accessible any time after that date. To access the training when it becomes available March 20, you must register through REPORTER.

Virtual instructor-led training sessions for supervisors of SHRA employees will be available in April for those who prefer facilitated learning opportunities. Please note this training is focused on the role of supervisors in WPP. To register for a virtual session, click the corresponding register link in the course listings below. You only need to attend one of the sessions.

WPP Videos and Written Guides for All Employees

UHR has created a library of videos and written guides that all employees can access to learn how to use WPP.

While the video and written guides are excellent resource tools to review and keep handy, we are requesting all supervisors who did not take training as part of phase 1 of WPP for the 2022-23 cycle year to complete either the asynchronous or the virtual training. You will receive credit for completing training through REPORTER, and that will help us identify who has completed WPP training.
