April 2 - The 764 & Emerging Terror Networks online webinar is designed to discuss the group's involvement in radicalization, exploitation, and extreme psychological abuse, which influences individuals further along the pathway to violence. Recent tragedies are also being investigated for potential links to 764, with several members facing prosecution for violent crimes, including child exploitation and forced self-harm.

ESSB 5004: which requires emergency response systems of school districts, charter schools, and state-tribal education compact schools to include specified technology and be developed in accordance with collaboration requirements (House hearing time: 5:04). Testifying in support: representatives from Make Our Schools Safe and several concerned citizens. Testifying with an amendment suggestion: representatives from the Puget Sound School Coalition. The bill was passed out of the House Education Committee.

The NWESD 189 School Safety and Wellness Center has begun offering bi-monthly Zoom conversations about some of the most pressing school safety & wellness challenges, topics, and updates. We started March 6th, our next meeting is March 20th (the first and third Thursday of the month) 10:00-11:00 am.

Misunderstandings and fear of the unknown often lead to the misinterpretation of autistic behavior, making autistic individuals disproportionately the focus of school based threat assessments.Dr. Leite, a specialist in threat assessment and behavior management, explores Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and its relationship to crime, clarifies distinctions between ASD and psychopathic behavior, and examines research on risk factors.
