Dear colleagues,

Today, President Price announced that I will conclude my service as executive vice president for health affairs of Duke University and dean of the School of Medicine in the summer of 2027. You can read the official announcement here.

Duke has shaped my life in profound ways, beginning when I first arrived here as an undergraduate student. As I look ahead to this transition, I wanted to share a personal message of gratitude and reflection, as well as my continued excitement for the future we are building together.

This is an important moment, yet our work together is far from finished. I remain fully committed to our priorities and to carrying forward the momentum we have built in the months ahead.

My hope is that this video provides context on how I came to this decision and conveys my deep appreciation for this role and for the trust you have placed in me.
