The Clinical and Translational Research Funding Program (CTRFP) provides ICTS members with the opportunity to apply for funds to promote the translation of scientific discoveries into improvements in human health. Overview and Letter of Intent materials will be released on May 19, 2025. There will also be a program overview webinar on Tuesday, May 20th from 9-10am. ICTS Resource Spotlight – WashU REDCap Support |

WashU REDCap Support provides a variety of ways to receive support to build, manage, and improve REDCap projects. Many I2DB Biostatisticians are expert REDCap users with the ability to build and manage portions or all of your REDCap project. Project Build and Epic Data Pull services are available at an hourly fee. In addition, there are several self-service support options like the WashU FAQs, User Guides, and REDCap Training webinars, as well as a Ticket System to receive direct support from a team member.

Clinical Research Training Center sends TL1 Trainees to ACTS Conference in Washington, DC |

The CRTC recently sent trainees in its TL1 Program to Washington, DC, for the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) conference. They proudly represented the program with impactful research, passionate advocacy, and an eagerness to learn. In addition to serving as advocates for translational research, they immersed themselves in learning opportunities and connected with peers, mentors, and leaders from across the country.

ICTS Precision Health Innovation Awards |
|
|
The ICTS Precision Health Innovation Awards provide up to $25,000 for research on rare diseases within precision health. Short applications with rapid turnaround are accepted on a rolling basis. Preference is for applications from independent faculty investigators for early-stage projects.

Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) to Offer Summer 3-Week Intensive Course on Bench Fundamentals for Translational Research
This course will introduce fellows-in-training and future physician-scientists to the core principles of scientific investigation. This unique three-week intensive format will combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on applications to provide students with an understanding of common research approaches used in current scientific endeavors. The course will run from July 7 to July 25, 2025 and will be both virtual and in-person. Register for the course by July 1, 2025.

| Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) Opens Enrollment for Clinical Investigation Bootcamp
This fall, the CRTC will launch its Clinical Investigation Bootcamp, a 1-2 year program designed to cover the core competencies of clinical research and investigation! Get hands-on experience and build your expertise with this collection of 3 courses covering study design, statistical approaches, and scientific communication. Bootcamp credits can be applied toward the Clinical Investigation Graduate Certificate or Master of Science Degree. Enrollment is open now through August 1, 2025.

Trial Innovation Network (TIN) Announces Training Program for Multicenter Clinical Trial Management
This training program is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of clinical trial leaders, particularly investigators and clinical research project managers, as they transition from single-site to multicenter clinical trial management. The goal is to improve the quality and efficiency of these complex studies by providing targeted training to bridge the gap. Applications are due by Friday, May 30, 2025.

POCTRN Unveils Six New Innovation Award Opportunities to Propel Point-of-Care Technologies
Applications are sought from academic and industry applicants who have innovative point-of-care technologies in areas of chronic disease, infectious disease, and disease prevention, such as cancer detection, heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders, STIs, emerging infectious disease in low-resource settings, and more. Applications are due by Friday, June 6, 2025.

| Ionis CRM Young Investigator Grant Program Now Accepting Applications
This grant program is aimed at providing one or two eligible academic or non-profit institution research fellows an opportunity to conduct innovative research in the areas of translational, clinical, or applied research. The Ionis grant encourages young scientific investigators to apply who are engaged in cutting-edge research on the topic of severe hypertriglyceridemia for the following categories: Clinical Investigations, Basic and Translational Science and Outcomes Research (and/or EMR-Related Research).
Applications are due by Monday, June 16, 2025.
