Growing up in a different denomination, I had no concept of Confirmation. It wasn’t until I was in the 11th grade that I had a glimpse of what it even meant. It was a friend who would share with me every week all she was learning about in her Confirmation class. She told me all that she was discovering about her faith and her church, about John Wesley, and about grace. It was then that I learned that God had even more in store for me.
Every year the students at United Methodist Churches all over are invited to participate in Confirmation. Here at St. Luke’s, DISCOVERY is that Confirmation journey for our youth in 8th grade (and above if they have not yet participated).
