A&S Site Manager Newsletter |
Greetings site managers,
For many of you, this is the scariest time of the year - and that has nothing to do with Halloween! I know y'all are scary busy, so we're keeping it short this month with a couple of quick notifications. Read on for details, and, as always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about these newsletter topics!

Reminder: RSVP for the Fall Lunch & Learn |
Thursday, November 6th, 11:45 AM | DUC 276 |
The A&S Marketing & Communications team (MarComm) and A&S Web team are excited to host our site managers for an afternoon of food for thought and, of course, literal food! Join us at 11:45 AM for lunch, which will include mini sandwiches, side salads, dessert, and a selection of cold beverages. The presentation will begin at 12 PM and will last one hour.
At the event, you can expect to:
|
-
Receive important website and social media updates.
- Connect with site managers across A&S doing similar work.
- Learn about upcoming workshops.
|
If you haven't already, please take a moment to RSVP and fill out a brief survey about your experience as an A&S site manager. This will help us even if you don't plan on attending the event!

FYI: Upcoming Content Freeze and Server Migration |
With the main ArtSci website recently migrated to Drupal 10, the A&S Web team is now working on migrating all our websites to a new server: Pantheon. Our content management system will still be Drupal, so day-to-day editing of the site will look exactly the same. But in moving to Pantheon, our site editors and visitors should experience faster performance. Additionally, the new host will provide stronger security and better tools for the Web Team to maintain and support your website.
To complete the move to Pantheon, the A&S Web team will need to schedule a 2-day content freeze on your website. As you may recall from the Drupal 10 migration, your site will remain online and accessible to the public throughout the content freeze - but, crucially, you can not make any edits to your website during that time period.
The Web team is in the process of testing Pantheon. Once they wrap up their tests, they will begin reaching out to site managers to coordinate a time that works to enact the content freeze and move servers. So, be on the lookout for an email from Marcia Billings (marcia@wustl.edu)!
