Learn how to spot a scam. Bad actors are using emails, texts, phone calls, and more to trick you, often by creating a false sense of urgency around an issue that’s important to you like upcoming travel or an overdue bill. Stay calm to stay smart. A phishing attempt fails the second you don't respond to it, click on anything in it, or download anything from it. |

Starting in October, NYU IT will be deleting NYU Google accounts and files belonging to faculty, researchers, staff, students, and affiliates who left NYU without retiring or graduating. However, we will not be deleting NYU Drive files that have been accessed since February 2024 at this time. In July, a label will appear on files owned by those former community members with a link to nyu.edu/google, which will have instructions on how to request access to important files. Visit nyu.edu/google for help and updates.
