Commencement 2019 Highlights
Alumni Profile
Meet Heidi Heckenberg Gossen '16
Current Town: Birmingham, England
Education: Major: Art  Minor: French
About me: I was raised in Algonquin, Illinois, with my two brothers. My mom is British and my dad American. My parents traveled quite a bit and lived in a few different countries before settling in the Chicago area. I was born in Athens, Greece. Because of my background, when I began looking for a college, I wanted one with a study abroad program. I also wanted to continue to stay active in sports. Central provided both opportunities and a great source for my education. I appreciated the flexibility of not having to choose a major right away. The small college vibe meant I wouldn't get lost in the crowd.
