Omar Paxi '01, '02, shares his story. “I graduated from Goodwin in 2002 with an associate degree in systems technology. After graduation I landed a job with Scientific Games in Rocky Hill as a data center operator, worked there for many years. I have been working at Bank of America since 2014. I started off as a data center operator, but now I'm currently a technical analyst. I support hundreds of applications across the bank. I'm still living in East Hartford and love it here. I'm very grateful for the education I received at Goodwin College (that’s what it was called when I graduated). Life is good!”
La’Shunda Nolen '04, '19, started a new position at the Boys and Girls Club of Bristol as the Assistant Director of Operations, in November 2022. La’Shunda is also working on publishing her second book.
Irene A. Flynn-Lombardi '08, '19, is married, mother of one beautiful girl, recently graduated from Regis College, and passed the boards for PMHNP.
Janice Hahn '11, has been recently appointed to the position of Associate Director of Education for Perioperative and Procedural Areas at UConn Health Center.
Barbara Maldonado '12, '19, is being recognized at the Black and Red Gala event for Hartford Hospital on April 22, 2023.
Ronald Gatchell '14, '18, was promoted to Sr. Operations/Program Manager at RGBSI Glastonbury in January 2023.
Lucy Kariuki '15, was promoted to Director of Health Service for Key Human Services. They provide nursing services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health issues. “It’s a field of nursing that I never knew about. It’s very rewarding and fulfilling.”
Yolonda Lewis '16, '19, shares good news. “I have self-published three books: Poetry for Justyce: Thoughts for The Soul, Peace of Mind Poetry: Mental Wellness. As for my nursing career, I'm currently a Behavioral/Mental Health Charge Nurse working with adolescents.”
John O’Brien '16, '17, '20, started a new position as Director of Home Care at The Loomis Communities.

Deena DePaolis '18, '21, loves working at HHED and has received two certifications: GRN and ELNEC.

Meygan Mandeville Varricchio '20, '21, got married last year, and got a job as a resource coordinator at an employee assistance program.

Rebecca Sullens '22, started a new job on January 26 promoting leadership programs for her city and supporting programs at an economic development organization.
