A Message from Tucker Biddlecombe |

| Dear Vanderbilt families,
Welcome to Vanderbilt.
As your student joins our community, they are becoming part of a university that believes education is shaped as much by the conversations students have over dinner, the questions they ask in residence hall lounges, and the relationships they build with faculty and peers as it is by what happens in the classroom. At Vanderbilt, the residential experience is an extension of the academic experience—designed to cultivate curiosity, deepen learning, and foster a community where ideas are explored with rigor and respect.

Student meal plans start on Aug. 19. On Move-In Day, a free lunch will be provided by Campus Dining for students and guests in The Commons Lawn tent from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The first few weeks of the fall semester will be a transition period for students and Campus Dining, which may result in busier dining halls and longer waits. This will improve as students settle into routines. Please encourage your students to use Campus Dining’s online platform, which lists hours and menus for all campus locations.
