From the

PRESIDENT

July 11, 2024

Dear TCU Faculty and Staff,

Summer at Texas Christian University is a great time to enjoy our campus and prepare for the academic year ahead. Thank you for all you do to ready our grounds and facilities, prepare for classes and incoming students, advance research and focus on strategic initiatives that elevate the work of TCU. We have so much to look forward to!

As we look to the future, I am pleased to highlight our Campus Master Plan efforts, first introduced in 2022 and approved in concept by our Board of Trustees at the Spring 2024 meeting. This living document informs our strategic planning efforts currently underway and will help guide our growth and development, ensuring that TCU continues to adapt and thrive in the years to come. Developed from insights and feedback from our community, the plan represents our collective vision for the future of TCU’s living and learning environment.

Evidence of our commitment to an enhanced campus experience is already all around us, with several projects in progress – including the East Campus Residence Halls and Dining Project, the Athletics Human Performance Center Renovation and Expansion Projects, the University Drive Pedestrian Safety Improvements and the new well house to mark the entrance to the south side of campus. I invite you to learn more about the seven core initiatives outlined in the Campus Master Plan.

Our strategic planning journey continues during the summer months. Through focused stakeholder meetings and workshops with faculty and staff leaders, we have made excellent progress toward defining our aspirations and goals. Additional engagement opportunities are being planned as part of our inclusive process. As the fall semester gets underway in August, we will host two campus-wide Strategic Plan Town Hall meetings to share the latest updates with the TCU community. Please save these dates on your calendars for all students, faculty and staff:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 20, 3 – 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 21, 3 – 4 p.m.

Your participation and insights are invaluable as we shape the future of TCU. Thank you for your dedication and contributions, and please continue to share your feedback and ideas. I look forward to our continued collaboration.

Go Frogs!
