July 1 Today, Sterling College begins the new fiscal year. Pray for wisdom and continued support, and also thank the Lord for His blessings to the college.
2 Pray for President Scott Rich. He begins his 15th year as Sterling College president this month.
3 The college is closed today so that the staff that works year round can enjoy the Independence Day weekend. Pray for a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable time off for all employees.
4 As we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday, ask God to deeply bless our country and to move in the hearts and minds of Americans to turn to Him.
5 Scripture focus: Zechariah 14:9 "The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name."
6 Ask God to send qualified candidates to fill any open positions on campus.
7 Pray for students and their families who are concerned about finances for the upcoming school year. Pray their needs may be met.
8 Many of our alumni and friends are struggling with health concerns. Pray for healing of health, body, and mind.
9 Pray that our recent graduates are finding success after graduation.
10 Praise the Lord for our Prayer Warriors! We are so thankful to you for spending time in prayer Sterling College! God bless you!
11 Give thanks that the Lord continues to attract students to Sterling College and that Sterling has the opportunity to serve students in a variety of ways – spiritually, relationally, and academically.
12 Scripture focus: II Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
13 Pray that Sterling College will be faithful in promoting Christ in every area of the college.
14 As alumni look to send their children to college, pray that Sterling will be an option they consider.
15 Pray for those who will be a part of the Host Family Program this coming year – ask that God will open the hearts and minds of those that can provide this unique support to students.
16 Pray for our coaches as they prepare for an exciting and competitive fall season.
17 Pray for any students who are concerned about making ends meet for school. Pray that their minds would be put at ease and that their needs would be met.
18 Pray for our students who are midway through their summer break, that their time with friends and family will be a time of renewal and fond fellowship.
19 Scripture focus: I Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." Pray today for President Scott Rich as he celebrates a big birthday!
20 Thank the Lord for His faithfulness to Sterling College. He has blessed the college in so many ways. May He be praised!
21 The Lord speaks in a still small voice. Pray that we may all hear Him.
22 Pray for Enrollment Services as they work with students who are still making decisions on where to attend school in the fall.
23 Pray for our new employees and their families; ask God to grant them favor as they integrate into a new community.
24 Pray that the Lord will move in the hearts of many new donors to support the work and mission of Sterling College and to experience the joy of giving.
25 Lift up all our faculty and staff, that each one would be able to build strong, God-honoring relationships with students coming to campus this fall.
26 Scripture focus: Psalm 19 1-2 "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge."
27 Pray for favor, strength and genuine hearts as our admissions counselors work with prospective students.
28 Thank God for the Maintenance and Housekeeping staff as they continue to serve the campus every day.
29 Lift up those students who have difficult family situations. For many, summer break is a tough time of year. Ask that God guide and heal in those lives and situations.
30 Pray that God will instill a spirit of giving in alumni and friends who desire to give back to Sterling and assist future Sterling students.
31 Pray for our new students that will be arriving on campus soon. Pray that God would prepare their hearts and give them peace about this new, next move in their lives.
