WHISTLER HOUSING AUTHORITY
The WHA is a municipally owned corporation that works to provide rental and ownership housing for employees working in Whistler. Their goal is to support Whistler’s workforce with long-term living opportunities in the community.
They are preparing to open the next step in the tenant selection process for their newest rental buildings, Sitka & Cedar, located in Cheakamus Crossing. They also have another building and set of townhouses under construction across the street, so it’s a great time to join the WHA Rental Waitlist.
Key highlights:
  • New WHA rental units coming online soon, with occupancy this summer
  • Expression of interest process opens April 7, 2026 until April 27, 2026.
  • Open to current waitlist applicants, with new applications still being accepted here: https://whistlerhousing.ca/pages/rental-eligibility
  • Rental rates are based on a percentage of household income, with minimums and maximums.
  • Occupancy standards are in place; families with dependents and groups of qualified roommates may be eligible for two- and three- bedroom housing options.
Single and couple households are eligible for studio and one-bedroom housing options.
  • Eligibility requirements apply, including Whistler employment and either Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency status to be a tenant.
Those who have applied for Permanent Residency status are eligible for a Waitlist position as well to plan for future housing.
If you have any questions about WHA housing or the application process, feel free to reach out to 604 905 4688 ext. 4, or mail@whistlerhousing.ca
